Mumbai, Oct. 19: Odisha’s industrial growth vision was showcased at a high-profile roadshow in Mumbai on Saturday, as the state prepares for the ‘Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,’ slated for January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar. Led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the event marked the second stop of Odisha’s global investment campaign, following a successful event in Delhi.

The roadshow attracted leading industry figures, sparking discussions on investment opportunities in sectors such as IT, textiles, renewable energy, chemicals, and petrochemicals. Chief Minister Majhi highlighted the state’s transformation into an industrial hub, supported by investor-friendly policies like the Single Window Clearance System and GO-SWIFT, which streamline the investment process.

“Odisha offers immense opportunities for industrial growth, demonstrated by our recognition in the BRAP 2022 rankings. Our strategic location, robust infrastructure, skilled workforce, and strong governance make us a prime destination for national and international investors,” Majhi said in his keynote address.

In one-on-one meetings with top industrialists, Majhi explored potential collaborations, reinforcing Odisha’s reputation as a business-friendly state. The CM also announced that Odisha is set to secure over Rs 5 lakh crore in investment intents at the ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2025.’

Key initiatives highlighted during the roadshow included food processing parks, garment manufacturing clusters, and multimodal logistics hubs, all central to the state’s industrial strategy. Odisha’s alignment with national growth schemes like the ‘Purvodaya Yojana,’ which focuses on developing eastern India, was also emphasized.

Industries minister Sampad Chandra Swain echoed Majhi’s message, inviting industries to leverage Odisha’s strategic advantages, including its skilled workforce and supportive policies. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Principal Secretary for Industries Hemant Sharma also provided detailed presentations on the state’s infrastructure and skilling ecosystem.

The two-day Mumbai event concluded with an interactive session where Majhi laid out the roadmap for the ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,’ encouraging global investors to explore Odisha’s unique opportunities. The roadshow attracted over 500 business leaders, further positioning Odisha as a key player in India’s industrial growth.

With the ‘Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’ expected to attract significant investments, the state aims to solidify its role as a premier industrial hub, driving innovation and economic progress in India.
