Odisha’s BJP Government Marks 100 Days with ‘Bikash Mela,’ Inauguration Held at Malkangiri

Malkangiri, Odisha ,22 September,2024– The district-level development fair, part of the state-wide “Bikash Mela,” was inaugurated today at the DNK playground, Malkangiri. The fair is organized following the completion of 100 days of the Bharatiya Janata Party government’s tenure in Odisha. This event aims to showcase the government’s initiatives and progress in various sectors across the state.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Minister of School and Mass Education, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare, Nityanand Gond, who served as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Nabarangpur MP Balabhadra Majhi, Malkangiri MLA Narsingh Madkami, Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khilla, and District Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil.
Minister Nityanand Gond, in his address, emphasized the role of education in the state’s development, stating that the government is committed to improving educational infrastructure and providing quality education. He also highlighted various state government initiatives focused on tribal development, women empowerment, the welfare of the disabled, and advancements in health and agriculture.
The District Collector, Ashish Ishwar Patil, mentioned that the development fair, featuring 32 stalls organized by ORMAS, aims to raise awareness among the public about government welfare schemes. Attendees can gain information and benefit from these initiatives. The minister also distributed assistance to 32 beneficiaries from various departments, including agriculture, public education, fisheries, and tribal development, as well as the Subhadra Yojana.
The program was presided over by Pramila Majhi, DIPRO, with the collective oath for cleanliness being recited on this occasion. The event saw participation from key district officials, including ADM Vedbar Pradhan, ADM Somnath Pradhan,CDO Cum EO Naresh Chandra Sabar ,Sub-Collector Duryadhan Bhoi, and other dignitaries.
Approximately 5,000 women from different blocks and towns of the district participated in the event.The fair provides a platform for the government to engage with the people, offering insights into the welfare programs and developmental initiatives undertaken by the state.
