In a ceremony held Monday, the District level malyabanta mohatshav was officially inaugurated by the District Collector Shri.Vishal Singh IAS. For this the divine water is collected from Amakund under khairput block  and  made puja with traditional manner and   organised a procession from Damaldai temple .

 The event was attended by  Chitrakonda MLA  Purna Ch.Baka, Ex-MLA Domburu Sisa, ADM Maheswar Nayak, BDO Hrudananda Sahu and large number of government officials, local leaders, and members of the community.

The mohatshav, which is an annual cultural ,athelatic and agricultural festival, is aimed at promoting the district’s rich cultural heritage and encouraging the growth of local sports and agricultural industries. The festival will feature a wide range of events, including traditional dance and music performances, exhibitions of local produce, and competitions for farmers and artisans.

During the inauguration, the District Collector highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting the district’s cultural and agricultural heritage. He also emphasized the role of festivals such as the mohatshav in fostering a sense of community and promoting economic development.

The mohatshav will run for three days from 15^th January to 17^th January followed with two days Pallishree Mela , during which time the district will come alive with a vibrant array of colors, music and food . The district administration has promised many plans like this to highlight local heritage and culture. The festival is expected to attract a large number of visitors from the district and neighboring areas. The visitors can enjoy with traditional food and handicrafts sold by local vendors .

The district administration is also providing all the necessary facilities for the visitors and have made arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival. The festival is expected to provide a boost to the local economy and promote the district as a major tourist destination.

This year’s Malyabanta mohatshav is poised to be one of the most successful and memorable events in the district’s history, and it is a testament to the district’s commitment to preserving and promoting its rich cultural and agricultural heritage.”
