NEW DELHI,AUG 6 : Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal celebrated Friendship Day in the most wonderful way. His followers on microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) were surprised when they saw what Goyal was up to on this special day. The Zomato ZEO shared pictures of him on his way to distribute friendship bands and food to delivery partners, restaurant partners and customers.

One of the photos that Deepinder Goyal shared shows him on a Royal Enfield bike, all set to commemorate this day of friendship with people associated with the company in some way or other. He had a bunch of friendship bands in his hand that he intended to distribute to the delivery executives, customers and even restaurant partners.

The internet was mighty impressed with his wholesome gesture. “Zomato orders over Swiggy today where people are hoping to meet the CEO,” a user wrote.

“You’re delivering in Chandigarh!? Wish to find you as my delivery partner someday!” another user asked.

In India, Friendship Day falls on the first Sunday in August. Therefore, this year, it is being celebrated on August 6, Sunday. Apart from India, a few other countries also mark Friendship Day on the same day, including Bangladesh, UAE, Malaysia, and the US.
