Paradip Port achieves historic Cargo Handling milestone in FY25

Paradip, July 10: Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has marked a momentous achievement, clocking an unprecedented 41.12 Million Metric Tons (MMT) of cargo handling within the first 100 days of the fiscal year 2024-25. This remarkable performance sets a new record in the Port’s history, demonstrating a 4.78 per cent growth compared to the 39.25 MMT achieved during the same period in the previous fiscal, i.e. FY24.
This achievement not only underscores the port’s critical role in bolstering India’s Maritime infrastructure but also reflects its commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and capacity.
Under the dynamic leadership and visionary guidance of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, the PPA has successfully surpassed its previous benchmarks, showcasing significant growth and efficiency in its operations.
PPA Chairman P.L. Haranadh expressed his deep gratitude to the for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister, attributing this monumental success to his unwavering support and strategic direction.
“The exceptional performance of Paradip Port Authority in the first 100 days of FY 2024-25 is a testament to our team’s relentless dedication and hard work,” said Haranadh. “We are deeply thankful to Shri Sarbananda Sonowal Ji for his continued leadership and guidance, which has been instrumental in achieving this feat,” he added.
