Rayagada/ Odisha, Jul 17 : A tragic accident occurred at Rayagada Railway Station today when a passenger train collided with a railway maintenance trolley, resulting in the death of one worker and injuries to two others.

The incident took place while the maintenance crew was carrying out routine work on the tracks. According to reports, the impact of the collision was severe, causing fatal injuries to one labourer on site and leaving two others with serious injuries. Both injured workers were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and ensure the safety of future operations at the station. Rail services on the affected route experienced temporary disruptions following the mishap as emergency services responded.
