Poet: Dr Phani Mohanty (State and Central Sahitya Akademi Awardee) Translator: Dr Sonali Sahu Such assemblage of Charmless stars On chest of the infinite Who the unskilled portraitist Awfully ornamented Where? Where have you been? In anonymous, from an eons No tone, no sound, no sign of you! Where! Where are you lost My dearest Drakhya ? In senses or Elysium, In terrestrial paradise or The bright topaz heart of an embellished celestial with obscurity of twinkling ones, in quiescence of an indolent unknown planet, In floated feathery clouds Or an earnest void Of a land of Dimond ? Where! Where are you Drakhya? unnoticeably disguised unseen, lost my Signora! Where! Where are you? Are you in the dissonant melody Of a murky night There in the unmusical jingle Of a landed alien fowl, In the delightful joy of a dazzling one ? Drakhya! Where are you? Without you all inadequate In the auspicious flash ! Quasi the chalice, withered betels, Such yearn in love and the separation, Unfinished Nirvana, incomplete the death, This fragmentary life And dearth in bonding, Coitus in vain, austerity futile My Charm! My princess of prosperity ! Drakhya Drakhya!
