PRI members recall Birsa Munda’s dedication to tribal causes

Malkangiri,15.11.2024: Legendary freedom fighter Birsa Munda’s impactful slogan, ‘Abua Raj Ete Jana, Maharani Raj Tundu Jana,’ which translates to “Let the queen’s kingdom end, and our kingdom be established,” became a rallying cry for tribal empowerment.
Despite his young age, Birsa Munda’s dedication to tribal causes earned him the title of ‘Bhagwan’ or Lord,remarked Undrukonda Sarpanch Kanan Bek while speaking at‘Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas’celebration at Kalimela Government (SSD) Girls High school to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda.
Recognizing the immense contributions of Birsa Munda,School headmistress Banani Mahapatra while presiding over the meeting told that observing Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas provides an opportunity to celebrate the rich tribal culture and the visionary leaders contributions to freedom movement.
As part of the “Parents as Partners,” meetings titled “Ame Janile Ame Jiniba” was also held on the occasion with the aim to make parents as stakeholders in education systems.SMC member Dulla Madkami , school teachers and about 300 students were attended the programme.
