Propack Odisha 2023 and Odisha Plast 2023 kickstart at Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Sept 30: 2nd edition of Propack Odisha International Expo 2023 and Odisha Plast International Expo 2023Orissa by Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprise (OASME) and Futurex Group in collaboration with Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and the Department of MSME, Government of Odisha kickstart from today at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, heralding a new era of industrial collaboration that transcends geographical boundaries.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Shri Pratap Keshari Deb, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Industry, and Energy, Odisha, as the Chief Guest, in presence of Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena, IAS Chief Secretary, Odisha, Shri Sridhar Patra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NALCO, Shri Hemant Kumar Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Industry Dept., Odisha, Shri Saswat Mishra, IAS, Principal Secretary, MSME Dept. Odisha, Commodore Amit Rastogi, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NRDC, Shri Atanu Bhowmick, Director-in-Charge, RSP, Shri Partha Majumdar, Regional Executive Director, NTPC, Shri D. Chakraborty, General Manager (Materials) IFFCO, and Shri P. K. Gupta, IEDS, Jt. Director & HOO, MSME DFO.
Inaugurating the Exhibition Shri Pratap Keshari Deb, Hon’ble Minister of MSME, Industry, and Energy, Odisha, said, Odisha is full of resources like minerals land, water, electricity and Opportunity and moreover supportive policy by the state Govt.
So l urge the local entrepreneurs should take the opportunity and explore.OASME should organise such expos in a big way every year and the Govt will extend its full support to them. Apart from Bhubaneswar such expos should target other key places in Odisha.
Govt is planning to have big permanent conversation centers where such exhibitions can be organised. For plastic Industry Govt has already started working on the mother industries one at Paradeep by IOCL and another at Bhadrakh. Odisha signed MoUs with various steel manufacturers which will ultimately boost the local entrepreneurs under MSME by giving th m ample opportunities.
Shri Pradeep Kumar Jena, IAS Chief Secretary, Odishapromotes this kind of exhibition to unveil more potential grounds for plastic. This exhibition helps new entrepreneurs to indulge in business policy.
Speaking on this occasion Sri Gouri Shankar Das, Chairman OASME said, “These exhibitions have been meticulously crafted to serve as a hub for various industries, ranging from food and beverages to pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, personal care, and household goods processing and packaging industries”
Covering an expansive area of 100,000 square feet, the 4-day exhibition, featuring over 250 exhibitors who are presenting a wide array of products, services, and technologies to the visitors. It is anticipating a turnout of over 60,000 visitors throughout its duration. During the exhibition more than 2000 products will be launched.
