Rotary Club Malkangiri Honors 50 Doctors for Their Outstanding Service on Doctor’s Day

Malkangiri, 01 July 2023 – Rotary Club Malkangiri, a prominent service organization, celebrated Doctor’s Day today by felicitating 50 doctors at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) Malkangiri Conference Hall. Led by President G Shyambabu Dora, Secretary A. Iswar Rao, and other dedicated members, the event aimed to acknowledge the relentless efforts of doctors serving in the remote area of Malkangiri.
Malkangiri, a region known for its geographical challenges, has been facing a shortage of medical professionals. Despite these obstacles, the doctors in Malkangiri have showcased exceptional dedication, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, with an impressively low fatality rate of 0.003 percent. Their unwavering commitment to healthcare and exemplary service has earned DHH Malkangiri several accolades in various healthcare domains.
During the felicitation ceremony, special recognition was bestowed upon three doctors for their exceptional contributions to the field of medicine. Dr. Sapan Kumar Dinda, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mohapatra, and Dr. Prafulla Kumar Behera were acknowledged for their outstanding achievements and their significant impact on improving healthcare in Malkangiri.
The event also featured insightful speeches by Dr. Nihar Ranjan Tripathy and Dr. Nihar Ranjan Praharaj, who emphasized the significance of Doctor’s Day and praised the dedication and resilience of the doctors in Malkangiri.
