SBI’s Kodalmetla Branch Brings Hope for Financial Inclusion in Remote Areas

Malkangiri Odisha ,16 March: The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened a new branch Kodalmetla, located in the MV-17, Sikhpalli GP under the Malkangiri district of Odisha. The new branch was inaugurated in the presence of Sri.Vishal Singh,Collector Malkangiri and Odisha Chief General Manager of SBI, Sri.Chandra Sekhar Sharma.
The new SBI branch is expected to facilitate the growth and development of rural areas in the region. In an effort to support the rural economy, SBI has also sanctioned a loan of 10.47 lakh to 351 members of Self Help Group (SHG) groups in the area.
The opening of the new branch is being hailed as a significant step towards financial inclusion and empowerment of rural communities in Malkangiri.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Malkangiri Collector expressed his gratitude to SBI for their efforts towards rural development in the district. He also highlighted the need for more such initiatives to support the economic growth of rural areas.
The chief general manager of SBI, Chandra Sekhar Sharma, emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting the economic development of rural India. He said that the new branch would provide a range of financial services to the people of MV-17 and surrounding seven GP areas, and would help in the growth of the local economy.
