SPARSA Project Awarded “Best Health Care CSR Project” at THIT 2024

Angul, Feb. 25 : SPARSA , the  project implemented by the District Administration of Angul & JSP Foundation in collaboration with  MedTel  for facilitating Safe Pregnancy & ANC Through Real-time Surveillance Activity has been conferred with the prestigious “Best Health Care CSR Project” at the 11th International Conference on Transforming Health Care with IT (THIT 2024) held at Bangalore on February 23 .

Attending the function organized by Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation Mr. Vikram Thaploo, CEO of APOLLO TELEHEALTH 

&  Dr. Sujoy Kar, Chief Medical Information Officer & Vice President,Apollo Hospital acknowledged the exceptional contribution  of SPARSA project to the improved  maternal and child health care status in Angul District and presented the trophy to Jhilli Khatua of JSP FOUNDATION & Dr. Lalit Manik, CEO of  Medtel.

Project SPARSA was inaugurated on August 15th, 2023, by Odisha Minister of Industry & Power, Mr. Pratap Keshari Deb, in Angul District, and this groundbreaking initiative was supported by JSP Foundation by deploying 200 Digital Diagnostic Kits in  the  Health subcenters in Angul District. These kits facilitated the digitization of Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day (VHSND) Sessions, incorporating real-time data-capturing features.

Covering 1364 VHSND points, the project has directly benefited about  20,000 pregnant women while identifying and managing high-risk pregnancies.

On receiving this award JPF Foundation’s Group Head CSR Mr Prashant Hota  said “JSP Foundation spearheaded the project as the core partner to the Angul Dist Admin  while MedTel provided invaluable technical expertise for  flawless implementation of the project” .  Hota attributed the   success  of  SPARSA Project to the District Administration and all  the personnel  involved in this project at ground zero “.

Congratulating the Team , the Chairperson of JSP Foundation Ms Shallu Jindal said ” I am proud of the collaborations for the SPARSA project for their ground breaking initiatives in accelerating Ante Natal Check ups and real time identification of High Risk Pregnancy through IT support  in Angul district  and thankful to the State Govt and Dist Admin for providing JSP foundation this opportunity  to serve to  the People of Angul “
