Sub-registrar denied the allegation brought against him

Khordha , Mar 20 : After joining the post of Sub-Registrar of Khordha,Mr.Atanu Kumar Patra became a favourite of everyone due to his style of work, but some intolerant people filed a grievance petition against him with the Revenue Department on 24.2.2026 without any truth.The complainants mentioned the grievances petition as the lawyers of Khordha.
After receiving the grievances petition, vide letter no -/05/0, dated 10.3.2026, the under secretary to government Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed the collector of khordha to conduct an enquiry into the matter ascertain the genuineness of the contents of the petition and take necessary steps as per rules inorder to redress the grievance of the petition and furnish a fact-finding report to the revenue department for further necessary action. After receiving this letter, Collector initiated the investigation process.
After taking the opinion of Sub-Registrar Atanu Kumar Patra, regarding the grievance, he refused the complaint and said that there is no truth in it.He said that all the facts will come out in the public after the investigation of the incident.
The complainants have mentioned themselves as lawyers in the said grievance petition, but when asked about the incident, the president of Khoradha District Bar Association, Jeevan Jyoti Mishra, clarified that the complainants, who mentioned the grievance petition as a lawyer of khordha is not true. There is no any such persons as a member of khordha district bar association and are not lawyers by profession.
The complainants have mentioned only their names and profession as lawyers in the said grievance petition, but have not mentioned their contact address and mobile number. When it is clearly proven that this is an anonymous grievance, questions have been raised about how the investigating officer will collect the opinion of the complainants. It is being widely discussed that this is a well-planned conspiracy against an honest and sincere government official.
