The 44th All India Major Ports Athletics Meet and 31st Children Athletics Meet comes to an end at PPA

Paradip, Feb. 2: The 44th All India Major Ports Athletics Meet and 31st Children Athletics Meet jointly organised by the Major Ports Sports Control Board and the Paradip Port Sports Council concluded at Gopabandhu Stadium, here on Friday.
Paradip Port Authority has emerged as overall champion and Mumbai Port became the overall runners up. PPA emerged champion in individual categories like under 14 boys & girls, Under 16 and 18 girls and women & women 45 plus. Around 250 participants from 8 major ports of India participated in 12 groups and 133 events in the sports extravaganza.
Gracing the valedictory function as the chief Guest Paradip Port Authority Chairman Shri P.L. Haranadh congratulated Paradip Port Sports Council for successfully conducting the event. On the occasion, Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy.Chairman, PPA was Guest of Honour.
Shri U.R Mohan Raju, Member, Major Ports Sports Control Board, Shri A.K.Bose, Advisor, Traffic Department, Shri D.N. Sondhi, Chairman, Organising Committee, Shri Babul Sikdar, Dy.Chairman, Organising Committee joined the proceedings, Dr. D.P. Sethy, Secretary, Shri Rabi Dash, Co-ordinator & Shri Ranjan Rashmi Beura, Jt. Secretary of Organising Committee were also present.
