JAJPUR,DEC 9: Public Works Department Supertent Engineer(SE) Purna Chandra Dadei visited Jajpur on Saturday and reviewed various development projects being carried out by the department in the district .
Mishra took stock of the construction works of the Medical College Hospital, hockey stadium, NC collage Building and 150 -feet high statue of Lord Shiva and sanskruti bhawan . He directed the departmental officials to complete the work on scheduled time. A number of development projects have been completed are ongoing in the Jajpur district under the supervision of Public Works.
The projects include a trauma care hospital in Panikoili , Medical College in Jajpur town, a 150- feet statue of Lord Shiva on the banks of river Baitarani, the Administrative Bhawan, relaying and widening of major roads. The locals have praised the engineers for completing the projects in time and for the quality of work.
Of late, a number of infrastructure projects like bridges, roads hospital and parks have been executed in Jajpur district by Works Department. These projects have been completed in time without any cost overruns.
Besides, stress has been laid on maintaining the quality norms. Works SE Purnachandra Dalei , who were in-charge of these projects, have earned lavish praise from people of the district for their dedication and efforts to ensure timely completion.
SE Dalei said the department has been entrusted with the work for a Tumour Hospital in Panikoili, and up-gradation of the houses of the District Headquarters Hospital and Jajpur MLA Pranab Prakash Das’ dream project, a state of the art administrative building which besides housing a number of Government offices, will have a large convention centre for holding meetings and seminars.
The engineers despite the shutdown toured various areas in the district and took stock of the ongoing development projects. Besides, they carried out various social activities like distributing masks, sanitisers and free food to the needy people. Dalei Said The State Government is committed to provide the best of services to people and improve their daily life by upgrading the infrastructure.
The Government goal is to provide bridges for smoothening the transport system, schools and colleges for education, healthcare facilities for patients. Besides, the river embankments are being strengthened to protect the residents from floods.
