Three Cadre Maoists Surrender Before Sukma Police, Inspired by Government’s Surrender Policy

Malkangiri June 4,2023 : In a significant development, three cadre Maoists voluntarily surrendered before the Sukma Police and other security forces at the Chattisgarh-Malkangiri border. The surrender took place in the presence of Sukma Superintendent of Police, Gourab Mandal, Additional Superintendent of Police, Uttam Pratap Singh and Commandant Suryakant Singh of 219 Bn CRPF . The surrendered Maoists have been identified as Paraski Hidma, Podium Soma, and Beti Suka.
The surrenders come as a boost to the ongoing anti-Maoist operation in the region, demonstrating the positive impact of the government’s surrendered policy. Paraski Hidma, Podium Soma, and Beti Suka have chosen to leave behind their life of violence and embrace a path of peace and rehabilitation.
Upon their surrender, the officers involved in the operation announced that the government would extend assistance and provide necessary facilities to ensure their smooth reintegration into society. This gesture aims to encourage other Maoist cadres to reconsider their involvement in armed activities and explore the possibility of a new life.
