Jajpur,SEP 2: Special Task Force (STF)  officials  on Friday   seized  fake Jarada and other tobacco items worth several lakhs and arrested  three  persons at  Bidyadharpur  village   under Bairi  police station  in Jajpur  district  while carrying out a raid.  All the  three  arrested persons have been identified as Gouranga Patra, Parsuram Patra  and Ramesh Patra of village Bidyadharpur . Police seized huge quantities  of fake Jarda,  some machines, fake labels and logos of  many reputed Jarada and tobacco  making companies , said an official of STF. 

 The officials  were tipped-off that a group of persons were involved in making and selling fake   Jarda in the markets in the name of  many companies.  A special  team was constituted which carried out the raid in two  houses at  Bidyadharpur  .  All the accused persons are   expert in making fake wrappers of branded companies. They were    booked under sections- 417, 482, 483, 485  and 487 of IPC , sections- 63 and 64 of CopyRight Act, 1957  and  sections- 103 and 104 of Trademark Act , 1999. More persons will be arrested in this case. We are investigating the case, added the  police  officer.
