Berhampur, Nov.1: Tata Power Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) organised a Walkathon today in Berhampur as part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Month 2025, reinforcing its commitment to integrity, transparency and ethical governance. The event saw enthusiastic participation from employees across various departments along with members of the local community, united under the mission of a corruption-free society.
The Walkathon was graced by the presence and active participation of Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, senior officials and colleagues. Participants marched through key locations of the city wearing specially designed T-shirts, carrying banners and placards, and distributing pamphlets to spread awareness on the importance of honesty, accountability and ethical behaviour in daily life.
This year’s Vigilance Awareness Month theme — “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility” — guided TPSODL’s initiatives aimed at strengthening public trust and responsible conduct across society.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, TPSODL, said: ‘Integrity is the foundation of progress. At TPSODL, we believe that transparency and accountability must reflect in every action we take. During Vigilance Awareness Month, we reaffirm our commitment to a culture of zero tolerance for corruption and inspire citizens to stand united for a fair, ethical and developed India.’
The observance of Vigilance Awareness Month 2025 commenced with the integrity pledge administered to all employees on October 27, 2025. To further connect with the community at large, TPSODL sent a vigilance awareness SMS to all consumers, including a link to take the e-pledge against corruption.
In line with its outreach focus, TPSODL has planned Nukkad Nataks, Vigilance Awareness lectures in Gram Panchayats and extensive engagements across Schools and Colleges to encourage the younger generation to uphold honesty and moral values. These activities aim to ensure widespread awareness and empower citizens to actively contribute to eradicating corrupt practices.
The entire initiative, including the Walkathon and month-long programmes, is coordinated by Wing Commander Manoj Kumar (Retd), Head – Security & Vigilance, TPSODL.
TPSODL continues to champion the cause of ethical responsibility while creating a positive, lasting impact on society.
