Sundargarh, Sept. 2 : TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL) has taken a step forward under its CSR initiatives by launching a Sports Promotion Initiative in Sundargarh to nurture young sporting talent of the region.

The Initiative was formally inaugurated by Sri Jogesh Kumar Singh, Hon’ble MLA, Sadar Sundargarh. The event was graced by eminent persons from Sundergarh and officials from TPWODL. The event was held at Nuadihi High School playground. The inaugural match was officiated by Shri Durga Madhav Nayak, Match Commissioner, All India Football Federation (AIFF).

The ceremony reflected the vibrant cultural spirit of Sundargarh with a march past, torch lighting, cultural performances, and a welcome song.

The initiative focuses on Football, Kho-Kho, and Athletics and will directly benefit around 600 students. It also gives special attention to identifying and developing para-athletes, ensuring inclusivity in sports. Beginning with the participation of five schools, the program is designed to create a structured pathway for young athletes to progress to U-14 and U-17 competitions.

Through this initiative, TPWODL aims to inspire and empower the youth of Sundargarh, building a strong foundation for future champions.
