Bhubaneswar, March 23: We all know that most senior citizens want to age comfortably in their homes with their own families. However, with today’s increasingly globalised work force and nuclear family structures, senior citizens often struggle to find that support at home from their adult children.

50%+ of Bhubaneswar’s elderly suffer from chronic health conditions. While access to good quality healthcare remains expensive, the management of these conditions at home is equally critical, but largely unavailable.

 
There are 100+ million Indians above 60-years age. Yet, the care infrastructure is extremely poor and largely unorganized for families looking after their elderly. Senior citizens, who formed only 8% of India’s population in 2015, will be 19% of the population by 2050 and 34% by 2100.
