Triranga Run and Marathon Marks 78th Independence Day in Malkangiri

Malkangiri, 13 Aug,2024: In celebration of the 78th Independence Day, a Triranga Abhiyan was organized across Malkangiri, with a special Triranga Run and Marathon held today. The event began at the Biju Patnaik Indoor Stadium and concluded at the Cultural Bhawan, symbolizing the nationwide campaign to hoist the Tricolour from house to house.
Malkangiri MLA Narsingh Madkami inaugurated the program as the chief guest, joined by District Magistrate Ashish Iswar Patil, ADM Bedabar Pradhan, and Sub Collector Duryadhan Bhoi. The event saw enthusiastic participation from school students, NCC cadets, volunteers, and intellectuals, all chanting patriotic slogans that echoed through the streets.
The District Sports Officer, Madhav Pangi, along with the Sports Department staff, played a crucial role in organizing the marathon. The event also saw the active involvement of DIPRO Pramila Majhi, District Culture Officer Santosh Narayan Ponda, and various other officials.
The Triranga Run and Marathon not only celebrated the spirit of independence but also fostered unity and patriotism among the participants, making it a memorable prelude to the Independence Day festivities.
