Umesh Pal murder: Prayagraj Police issues lookout notice against Atiq’s wife Shaista, shooter Guddu Muslim
UTTAR PRADESH,MAY 16 :The hunt to nab slain gangster Atiq Ahmed’s wife and his two accomplices continues as Uttar Pradesh Police has issued a lookout circular against the three in connection with the Umesh Pal murder case.
Prayagraj Police Commissionerate issued a notice against Atiq’s wife Shaista Parveen, shooter Guddu Muslim and Sabir.
Previously, the authorities announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for information leading to Shaista’s arrest and a massive search operation had been launched to nab her. Currently absconding, she is one of the “most wanted criminals” in Uttar Pradesh.

Shaista was named an accused in the murder case of Umesh Pal, who was a prime witness in the murder case of 2005 BSP MLA Raju Pal. Umesh Pal, along with his two police guards, was shot dead in the Dhoomanganj police station area in Prayagraj on February 24.
Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were convicted on March 28 by a court in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj in the 2006 kidnapping of Umesh Pal.
On April 15, Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead by three men at point-blank range, while both were speaking to reporters. The three men, posing as journalists, were nabbed by the police at the crime scene.
Police reach Prayagraj jail to take Atiq Ahmed’s younger son, Ali for interrogation.
