Vedanta Lanjigarh presents ‘Gyan Shree’ Award to matriculation toppers from Kalahandi
Lanjigarh, Odisha; Jan. 18: Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh, India’s premier producer of metallurgical grade alumina, presented ‘Gyan Shree’ Awards to toppers and students with exemplary results in matric exams (Class 10th) at the Kalahandi Utsav – 2023. Held annually, the Vedanta Gyan Shree awards aims to celebrate exceptional academic performance by the district toppers and motivate them to aspire for higher studies.
The recipients of Vedanta Gyan Shree award were presented with a laptop and a certificate of merit by Mr. GG Pal, Dy. CEO – Alumina Business, Vedanta Ltd., Ms P Anvesha Reddy, IAS, District Magistrate and Collector of Kalahandi, Mr Abhilash G, IPS, Superintendent of Police, and Mr Sanjaya Kumar Satpathy, Vice-Chancellor of Kalahandi University. The awardees were Bijayanti Mishra, Biswajit Rath, Subhadra Pati, Aman Kumar Sahu, Anchal Adarshita, Aurojyoti Mishra, Pravasini Naik and Umakanta Naik who topped the different boards in Class 10th matriculation exams. With digital learning on the rise in today’s inter-connected world, laptops have become ubiquitous for furthering one’s knowledge base. By awarding laptops to students as part of the Gyan Shree Awards, the company aims to bring the world of knowledge to their fingertips, making them first-generation digital learners from their families and opening new horizons for their progress.
