Concern for Health & Hygiene: Water treatment plant inaugurated at IMFA mines

Bhubaneswar, April 7: A Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with a capacity of 6000-litres-per-hour at Mahagiri Chromite Mines was inaugurated by Sukinda MLA Mr Pritiranjan Gharai in the presence of Mr Sanjeev Das, SVP, Head – Mining Business Unit; IMFA Ltd and Mr Sudhanshu Patni, VP (Mining) on Wednesday.
Mrs Kalpana Jena, Kaliapani Sarapanch was also present among other dignitaries on this occasion. In this WTP, the waste water from the underground mine is processed without using chemicals and made potable.
Speaking on this occasion, lawmaker Mr Gharai lauded the efforts for installing this kind of water treatment plant and said it is an example for other mines in this region .
On this occasion, Shri Sanjeev Das, SVP, Head – Mining Business Unit; IMFA Ltd said about the benefits on this Water Treatment Plant .
At the end of the meeting, Mr Sudhanshu Patni, VP (Mining) ; IMFA ltd gave vote of thanks to all .
