Bhubaneswar/Odisha, Feb. 8 : Two women athletes from the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (HPC),representingdifferentunits of Indian Railways, secured Gold and Triple Bronze medals in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) category at the 54thAll India Railway Gymnastics Championshipheld in Kolkata during February 04-06, 2026.

Pranati Nayak, representing Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) in the WAG category, showcased exceptional control, difficulty, and execution to secure the Gold Medal, scoring 11.75 points and finishing 1st in the Uneven Bars. Her performance reflected the structured training, scientific conditioning, and high-performance support provided at the HPC.

Karishma, representing South Eastern Railway (SER)in the WAG category, had an exceptional championship, earning three Bronze Medals across various events. Her performance earningbronze medals included, Uneven Bars with a score of 9.30, Balance Beam with an impressive 10.90 points and Floor Exercise, scoring 11.25 points, highlighting her all-round capability and competitive resilience.

Seven units of Indian Railway participated in this competition including South Eastern Railway, Eastern Railway, South Central Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Western Railway, Northern Railway and North Central Railway. Organised by South Eastern Railway Sports Association, the event brought together elite railway gymnasts from across the country, providing a highly competitive platform to assess technical excellence and performance consistency at the national level.

The strong performances by Pranati and Karishma reaffirm the role of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre as a key contributor to India’s gymnastics ecosystem, consistently developing athletes capable of excelling at national and international championships.
