Malkangiri ,16 July 2023 : World Youth Skills Day-2023 was celebrated on 15th July at Government Polytechnic,College Malkangiri with great enthusiasm. A meeting was organized in institute, where Chairman Sri.Gyana Ranjan Das welcomed all the attendees. The meeting was graced by Sri. Maheshwar Chandra Naik, ADM, Malkangiri, as the Chief Guest. Sri. Subharanjan Mohapatra, Deputy Commandant of BSF, and Dr. Ranjan Kumar Swain, the Head of Commerce at Malkangiri College, were also present as Chief Speakers.

The meeting aimed to highlight the significance of skill development and showcased the institute as an exemplary model for the district. The guests and speakers emphasized the importance of improving students’ skills and praised the efforts made by the institute in bringing together students from different educational institutions.

To commemorate the occasion, various competitions were organized at Government Polytechnic, including Odia and English Debate, Essay, Quiz, Chess, and Carrom. Students from several schools and colleges such as Government Boys High School, Ekalabya Model School, Central School, and Malkangiri College enthusiastically participated in these events.

The competitions were efficiently conducted by the faculty members of Polytechnic College,Malkangiri, including Amit Kumar Tirkree, Bipin Bihari Mohanty, Ashish Sharma, Sharmila Shabar, Abkash Pradhani, Prithiranjan Priyadharshi, J. Vinod Kumar, Pallavi Mahanta, and Parthasarathi Mallick. They played a crucial role in evaluating the participants’ performances.

Certificates and prizes were distributed to the deserving students at the conclusion of the meeting. Sri.Tapan Kumar Behera,Sri.Rabindra Kumar Moharana,Subhasree Priyadarshini and other contributors ensured the success of this distribution ceremony.

The World Youth Skills Day celebration at Government Polytechnic College Malkangiri not only provided a platform for students to showcase their talents but also served as a reminder of the importance of skill development in shaping their futures. The event was a testament to the commitment of the institute and its faculty members towards nurturing the youth and equipping them with the necessary skills for a brighter tomorrow.
