NEW DLHI, MAY 8 : The first set of post-attack satellite images have emerged a day after India launched precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists. The images reveal substantial damage to key terror hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Captured by Maxar Technologies, the satellite visuals show before-and-after comparisons of sites in Bahawalpur and Muridke, the strongholds of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The images confirm direct hits, with Indian missiles piercing through the dome of Subham Allah mosque in Bahawalpur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The satellite image also showed that a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) facility in Muridke was completely destroyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
OPERATION SINDOOR<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a swift and coordinated blitz lasting just 25 minutes, India carried out its most expansive cross-border strikes since Balakot, targeting nine terror facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) early on Wednesday, military officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Codenamed Operation Sindoor, the strikes involved air, naval, and ground-based assets and were launched under the cover of darkness in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More than 80 terrorists linked to banned outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in the precision strikes, top sources said. The military action was measured and the targets were selected based on credible intel, the government said at a briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
