Puri\/Odisha,Aug 11 : Athletes of Odisha AM\/NS India Kho Kho High Performance Centre delivered commanding performances at the recently held 14th Odisha State Junior Kho Kho Championship 2026, at the Kho Kho Academy, District Sports Complex, Puri. Representing teams of various districts and KISS University, a total of 21athletes, including 11 girls and 10 boys of Odisha AM\/NS KHPCshowcased exceptional skill, blistering speed, and fierce competitive temperament, underlining the Centre\u2019s pivotal role in shaping the future of Kho Kho in the state and in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the Girls category, the Championship title was clinched by KISS University with major contributions from fiveOdisha AM\/NS KHPC athletes – Lisarani Raita, Ashika Kujur, Raktima Bhanda, Subhashree Mallick and Chinmayee Pradhan. Jagatsinghpur team represented by Odisha AM\/NS KHPC athlete Lipina Nath, was the runners-up, while Puri, powered by K. Bhavani, secured the second runners-up position. The brilliance of the centre was further highlighted with the excellence and individual honours of Lisarani Raita being adjudged the Best Attacker, while Somali Dehury received the Best Emerging Player award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Boyscategory witnessed equally inspiring performances by ten of the centre\u2019s athletes. Sports Hostel, Purilifted the championship Trophy, powered by the contributions of Odisha AM\/NS KHPC athletes Aditya Das, Subham Biswal and Soumya Ranjan Swain. Supported by Ramlal Birua of the centre, Kiss University secured the second runners-up position. T Naveen of the centre helped Ganjam team finish in the third place.Adding to the achievements, Soumya Ranjan Swainof the centre was honoured with the Best Emerging Player award for his outstanding performance during the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
