Cuttack\/Odisha, Aug 31: The Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, aimed at promoting a drug-free society, has reached around 300 government schools across seven districts under Odisha\u2019s Central Range, creating widespread awareness among students, teachers and local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In pursuance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s call for a Nasha Mukt Bharat and under the leadership of Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the campaign is being carried forward across the state under the direction of DGP, Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the initiative, Dr. Satyajit Naik, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Cuttack, on Monday participated in an anti-drug awareness programme at government schools in Jagatsinghpur district. He was accompanied by Jagatsinghpur Collector J. Sonal, IAS, Superintendent of Police Ankit Verma, IPS, and other senior officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme sought to sensitise students to the harmful physical, psychological and social consequences of drug and substance abuse. Interacting with the students, the officials urged them to adopt a healthy, disciplined and drug-free lifestyle and play an active role in encouraging their peers to stay away from drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The participating officials stressed that prevention, sustained awareness and active community participation are essential to tackling the growing challenge of substance abuse. Students were encouraged to become ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign and contribute to the vision of a Nasha-Mukt Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Central Range Police reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening preventive policing, anti-drug awareness and community engagement, with particular emphasis on protecting and empowering the youth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
