\nBHUBANESWAR, MAY 9: The Odisha police on Wednesday confirmed that the woman who was mistakenly abandoned by her husband on the way at Angul on their way from Sambalpur to Bhubaneswar on May 3 night was in fact raped by six persons, including a minor.
\nAngul superintendent of police Mitrabhanu Mohapatra said four of the accused, including the minor, were apprehended while raids were on to nab two others.
\nWhile we were moving in a car from Sambalpur to Bhubaneswar on May 3 night, the couple had stopped at Nakchi near Angul for nature\u2019s call.
\n\u201cI was sitting on the rear while my daughter was sitting on the front seat. At Nakchi, I went for toilet. I came back for water bottle from the car to clean myself. My husband had already return to his driver\u2019s seat while my daughter was sitting beside him in the front. When I took the water bottle, the rear door got locked due to strong wind blowing outside at night. My husband thought that I had got into the car after attending the nature\u2019s call and he drove the vehicle speedily mistakenly leaving me on the way,\u201d the woman said.
\nThe police said the miscreants, after finding the 32-year-old woman alone on the road took her to a nearby forest and repeatedly raped her. After she collapsed, the culprits dumped her at a local bus stop.
\n\u201cWe have arrested four of the accused. Hunt is on two arrest two others involved in the crime,\u201d the SP Mr Mohapatra said.
\nAccording to reports, the husband had come back to the site where he had mistakenly left his wife when he did not find her in the car after driving for around 15 km.
\nA missing case alleging gang-rape and murder of the woman was lodged with Handapa police on May 4 by her husband after search at Nakchi and other locations. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
