\nBalasore, May 22: Indian on Tuesday successfully test-fired for the second consecutive day BrahMos supersonic cruise missile along Odisha coast under the missile\u2019s life extension programme.
\nThe missile was test-fired at 11.43 am from Launch Pad 3 of Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur here.
\nBrahMos is a joint venture between Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of India and Federal State Unitary Enterprise NPOM NPOM, of Russia.
\nThe highly versatile BrahMos has emerged as the ultimate weapon of choice in modern warfare with its unmatched speed, precision and firepower.
\nBrahMos is the first indigenously built missile whose life has been extended from 10 years to 15 years.
\nThe Indian Army has already inducted three regiments of BrahMos in its arsenal. All are equipped with Block-III version of the missile. The land-attack version of BrahMos has been operationalised in the Indian Army since 2007.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
