Registered as a Trust for rendering social services to varied sections of the society, the Foundation comprehensively aims to cover all aspects of seniors&#8217; needs, who are living in isolation mostly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt is observed that there are many isolated elderly people living a lonely life because either their children are staying abroad or are not taken care of. And there is a growing need to cater to the wide-ranging needs of the elderly, which have evolved dramatically in recent years due to fundamental socio-economic changes in the country\u201d mentioned Bijay Patnaik, IAS (Retd), Ex Chief Secretary, Govt. of Odisha and the Chief Guest for the Launching Event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Google Wellness Foundation is dedicated to stand by the elderly who feel deserted, isolated or in need. The mission is simple yet profound, to provide unwavering physical and emotional support to ensure they live their golden years with dignity, comfort and companionship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Addressing the gathering, Pradipta Kumar Swain, Managing Trustee for Google Wellness Foundation said \u201cWe believe every elderly person deserves love, respect and assurance that someone is there for them. The Foundation is more than a service. We are a family. Our hands-on care, physical support ensures that elderly citizens never have to walk alone \u2013 be it need for medical assistance, support to buy daily essentials, transportation to places like hospital or bank, home support &amp; care including home blood sample collection &amp; health check-up etc.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTogether, we lift the forgotten heroes, helping the deserted, isolated and needy elders thrive with dignity and grace. Turning isolation into companionship\u201d he added.Pradipta Kumar Swain is the Ex Chief Executive Officer for WATCO, Odisha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among others, Sanjay Pramanik, OFS (Retd.), Ex Special Secretary, Govt. of Odisha, Sarat Chandra Mishra, Water Sector Leader &amp; Ex COO, WATCO, Govt. of Odisha, Smt.
