Jajpur, Jan 18 : In a shocking incident, a Class IV student died after falling from a swing at a primary school under Danagadi block in Jajpur district on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mishap took place during recess period at Bagapatia Primary School of Bagapatia village under Tamaka police station .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased student has been identified as Somyarajan Sahoo(9) , son of Nabaghana Sahoo from Bagapatia village.Somyarajan along with other children were playing on the swing when he suddenly fell and sustained critical head injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was rushed to the Community Health Center (CHC) at Danagadi where doctors declared him dead, said Achutananda Sa, a teacher of the school.Pritiranjan Ghadei the former MLA of Sukinda rushed to the hospital after this incident and consoled the parents of the deceased boy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The deceased student\u2019s father and other family members alleged that the boy died due to the gross negligence on the part of teachers at the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When contacted, the IIC of Tamaka police station, Pramodini Sahoo said\u2019 Police seized the body of the student and sent to the government hospital at Danagadi for autopsy.
