Balasore Jan.28<\/strong> – TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has been implementing transformative initiatives to enhance power supply infrastructure in its service area, covering Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Jajpur districts. Since taking over power supply responsibilities in Northern Odisha, TPNODL has focused on ensuring reliable and uninterrupted electricity to critical services, including hospitals, medical colleges, drinking water supply centers, and government offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of its commitment to building a robust and storm-resilient power supply system for healthcare services, TPNODL has introduced several key infrastructure upgrades. These efforts include the installation of a Ring Main Unit (RMU) at the substation of Pandit Raghunath Murmu (PRM) Medical College and the replacement of the old 33kV overhead cables with dedicated 33kV underground cables. This upgrade ensures a more reliable power supply, minimizing disruptions during adverse weather conditions such as storms and cyclones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similar upgrades have been made to other healthcare facilities in the region, including Fakirmohan Medical College in Balasore, Jajpur Medical College, and the district headquarters hospital in Bhadrak. A dedicated 1.5 km power line has been established for Balasore Medical College, while 500-meter-long special connections have been provided to Baripada and Bhadrak hospitals. These initiatives are aimed at ensuring the uninterrupted power supply necessary for the smooth functioning of healthcare services, especially during times of crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TPNODL\u2019s dedicated efforts and the hard work of its employees have made significant strides in improving the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers across these districts.
