{"id":134396,"date":"2025-02-27T20:59:46","date_gmt":"2025-02-27T15:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indusvalleytimes.com\/news\/?p=134396"},"modified":"2025-02-27T20:59:48","modified_gmt":"2025-02-27T15:29:48","slug":"tpwodl-sets-up-500-kva-mobile-dtr-at-rourkela","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indusvalleytimes.com\/news\/tpwodl-sets-up-500-kva-mobile-dtr-at-rourkela\/","title":{"rendered":"TPWODL Sets Up 500 kVA Mobile DTR at Rourkela"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"caps\"><strong>By Mahendra Darjee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Burla\/Rourkela, Feb.27:<\/strong> TPWODL, the power distribution company in western Odisha has introduced a state-of-the-art mobile Distribution Transformer (DTR) with a capacity of 500 kVA at Rourkela city, marking a significant milestone in the region&#8217;s power infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the first time that a trolley-type mobile DTR has been deployed in Rourkela city, and it is expected to revolutionize the way transformer replacements and installations are handled in case of power breakdowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presently, the mobile DTR is stationed at Vedvyas to ensure reliable power supply during the Vedvyas Mela, a key event of Mahashivratri celebrations from February 26 to March 10, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The newly deployed 500 kVA mobile trolley-type transformer is equipped with a transformer, Ring Main Unit (RMU), and LT protection panels. This unique, portable system is designed to significantly reduce the downtime typically associated with the replacement or installation of a transformer during unexpected breakdowns. The advanced mobile system allows for a faster and more efficient restoration of power, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and businesses in the Rourkela town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Parveen Verma; CEO, TPWODL said, &#8220;This mobile DTR is a game-changer for the Rourkela town. It will revolutionize our response time in case of future transformer failures.
