With a technical collaboration with Lepra Society, the program was launched at Jamunali VillageMarch 19 by Mr. Neeraj Kalla, VP- Mines, JSP in the presence of community leaders including Jamunali Sarpanch Smt. Shila Pradhan. This initiative, aimed at ensuring early detection and treatment of vision-related issues, brought together hundreds of villagers seeking on-spot eye check-ups and essential eye care services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event, on the eve of the Birthday of Smt Savitri Jindal ,the Chairperson Emeritus of OP Jindal Group ,&nbsp; commenced with a special health awareness session, followed by an inauguration ceremony attended by Mr. Ajay Singh, AVP- CSR&nbsp; Mines, Mr. Subash Ray, DGM-CSR Mines, Mr. Jayanta Kumar Mohanty, GM- CSR, Mr. Ashutosh Mishra, DGM- CSR, and Mr. Kundan Kumar, AGM\u2014CCD. They emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The eye checkup camp witnessed an overwhelming response from the villagers of all age groups, especially the elderly. More than 100 villagers have done their eye checkups and benefitted with necessary medicine and spectacles. Experienced ophthalmologists conducted free screenings and consultations, ensuring that the community received necessary prescriptions and referrals for further treatment. The LEPRA Team, with their expertise in eye care, played a crucial role in diagnosing potential vision problems and advising preventive measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its larger mission of social responsibility and inclusive healthcare, Jindal Foundation continues to spearhead multiple community-focused programs. The success of the Free Eye Checkup Camp has paved the way for similar future initiatives in nearby villages, reinforcing JSP\u2019s commitment to promoting health awareness and accessibility in underserved areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8216; We Care your Eyes&#8217; is the theme of the &#8216;Dristhi&#8217; programme of Jindal Steel&#8217; s CSR under the umbrella of its social arm Jindal Foundation led by Smt Shallu Jindal as the Chairperson&nbsp; .Under this programme ,&nbsp; Jindal Foundation has&nbsp;&nbsp; so far served more than 10,000 drivers, senior citizens, and persons from
