NEW DELHI, APR 25 : Three days after the Pahalgam terror attack, firing was reported from multiple Pakistani posts along the Line of Control (LoC) by the Pakistan Army throughout the night – an unusual development not reported in recent times, according to sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Indian Army has retaliated. There have been no casualties reported from the Indian side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The Pakistani Army fired small arms along the border. Our troops responded. Further details are being ascertained. There have been no casualties,” said an official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not so long ago, the Pakistani Army opened fire from small arms on an Indian post along LoC in Poonch district in February. Subsequently, India also retaliated. No injuries or material damage were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, this incident comes in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 tourists. Both India and Pakistan have been on high alert with Islamabad issuing a no-fly zone over the Arabian Sea amid the Jammu and Kashmir terror incident and a possible missile test scheduled for today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
GUNFIGHT BETWEEN FORCES AND TERRORISTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a gunfight broke out between security forces in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir and terrorists on Friday. According to sources, a terrorist on the run has been injured. On the other hand, two security officers of a senior police official have also been injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The security forces launched a cordon and search operation after they received information about terrorists hiding in the forests of the Bazipora area. The search operation soon turned into a gunfight as the terrorists opened fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday, a soldier with the Special Forces was killed in action as joint security forces engaged in a gunfight with terrorists in the Udhampur district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the Pahalgam attacks, the security forces launched a massive manhunt to capture the five to six terrorists involved in the mass killings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They have released pictures of three suspects – Asif Fuji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha – believed to be behind the attack and have announced a cash reward of Rs 20 lakh for anyone who can provide credible leads to the attackers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
