Sahoo<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bhubaneswar, June 15: Jindal Steel &amp; Power (JSP) has bagged dual honours at the Greentech Awards 2025, winning in the categories of Agriculture Promotion and Welfare of Elder Persons. The awards, presented at a ceremony in New Delhi on June 14, recognise the company\u2019s outstanding contributions to community empowerment through sustainable agriculture initiatives and elderly care programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chairperson of Jindal Foundation, Shallu Jindal, expressed gratitude for the recognition. \u201cThese awards reaffirm our commitment to inclusive growth. Whether supporting farmers with sustainable practices or ensuring dignified care for the elderly, our work reflects a deep sense of responsibility towards society,\u201d she said, dedicating the awards to the Foundation\u2019s teams and the communities they serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Excellence in Agriculture Promotion award highlights JSP\u2019s impactful work in rural and tribal areas, where it has trained over 25,000 farmers in organic farming, water-efficient irrigation, modern equipment use, and soil health management. These efforts have boosted crop productivity, enhanced income security, and encouraged environmental conservation. Recently, Smt Shallu Jindal launched a Mobile Soil Testing Laboratory for farmers in Angul, strengthening the natural farming initiative envisioned by Shri Naveen Jindal, MP and JSP Chairman. The Foundation\u2019s Watershed Development and WADI (Orchard) Development programmes have also earned national acclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Welfare of Elder Persons award recognises JSP\u2019s initiatives to improve the quality of life for senior citizens. Through mobile health clinics, day-care centres, home visits, and mental wellness services, the company has positively impacted thousands of elderly individuals, particularly in rural areas.
