Bhubaneswar, Feb. 6: The Odisha government on Thursday declared the Hindi feature film Godaan tax-free across the State. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi made the announcement after attending the premiere screening of the film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Describing Godaan as a family-oriented movie with a strong social message, the Chief Minister said the film reinforces the values of Sanatan Dharma while highlighting moral and cultural principles relevant to contemporary society. He noted that the movie encourages stronger bonding between parents and children and promotes ethical values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emphasising the influence of cinema on society, Majhi said films like Godaan play a crucial role in creating social awareness and fostering cultural understanding. He added that meaningful, value-based cinema can help shape positive attitudes, particularly among the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event, the Chief Minister also announced that the State government would soon establish a Cow Research Centre in Odisha. The proposed centre, he said, would focus on research, conservation, and awareness related to indigenous cattle and traditional practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Urging families and young people to watch the film together, Majhi called for public support for socially relevant cinema that upholds cultural ethos and ethical values. He expressed hope that Godaan would receive wide appreciation from audiences across the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
