{"id":157734,"date":"2026-11-05T00:15:52","date_gmt":"2026-11-04T18:45:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/indusvalleytimes.com\/news\/?p=157734"},"modified":"2026-11-05T00:15:53","modified_gmt":"2026-11-04T18:45:53","slug":"jindal-foundation-distributes-mosquito-nets-to-protect-vulnerable-families-in-rural-anugola","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indusvalleytimes.com\/news\/jindal-foundation-distributes-mosquito-nets-to-protect-vulnerable-families-in-rural-anugola\/","title":{"rendered":"Jindal Foundation Distributes Mosquito Nets to Protect Vulnerable Families in Rural Anugola"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By Payal Banerjee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Anugola,<\/strong> Nov. 4: In a concerted effort to strengthen preventive healthcare and combat mosquito-borne diseases, Jindal Foundation, in collaboration with the National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC), distributed mosquito nets among vulnerable families in Nagira village under Pallahara block of <strong>Anugola<\/strong> district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative aims to protect vulnerable households against malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases while promoting awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy living practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme was attended by Pallahara MLA Ashok Mohanty; Dr Purnima Udgata, ADPHO (Vector-Borne Diseases); Rabi Narayan Patel, Sub-Collector, Pallahara; Nishan Mishra, BDO, Pallahara; Lingaraj Das, MP&#8217;s nominee; Tanmaya Kumar Sahoo, senior advocate and MLA&#8217;s nominee; Bidusmita Sahoo, Deputy Collector; Sobhita Kumar Bishi, SDI and PRD; Ashis Kumar Samal; and Jhilli Khatua, AGM\u2013CSR, Jindal Foundation. Representatives of the health department, local administration and community stakeholders were also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the gathering, MLA Ashok Mohanty underscored the importance of preventive healthcare, public awareness and active community participation in controlling malaria and other vector-borne diseases. Appreciating Jindal Foundation&#8217;s initiative, he said such interventions provide essential support to vulnerable families and called for collective efforts to build a healthier and disease-free community through improved hygiene and preventive practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sub-Collector Rabi Narayan Patel also appreciated the Foundation&#8217;s contribution, stressing the importance of coordination between government agencies, healthcare institutions and corporate social responsibility initiatives to improve public health and ensure sustainable community development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of the programme, the health department organised an awareness session through the ADPHO (Vector-Borne Diseases) to educate villagers about the correct use of mosquito nets and other preventive measures against vector-borne diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative reflects Jindal Foundation&#8217;s commitment to supporting government-led public health interventions and improving the quality of life of vulnerable communities through grassroots-level healthcare
