Manmohan Samal becomes new president of Odisha BJP
BHUBANESWAR, MARCH 23: Putting an end to speculations around a new leader ahead of the 2024 general election, senior BJP leader Manmohan Samal has been appointed president of the party’s Odisha unit.
BJP National President JP Nadda on Thursday appointed Samal as Odisha’s party State President. Samal will replace the present chief Samir Mohanty.
Speaking to OTV, Samal said he will continue his party’s fight for the poor of the State. BJP will fight against the misrule of the ruling BJD, and the rising corruption in the State. This corrupt governance in Odisha needs to be changed in 2024, he said.
Resentment is already brewing among people against the Odisha government and that will help throw this government out of power in 2024 general elections, said the new BJP chief adding, “People want an alternative and they have found it in the BJP.”
Samal also sought cooperation from all in strengthening the party while claiming that the BJP will form the government in Odisha in 2024.
