Malkangiri, June 25, 2024 – Today at 8 AM, the newly elected MLA of Malkangiri, Shri Narasingh Madkami, paid a visit to the Malkangiri Union of Journalists (MUJ) office. In a meeting led by the president of the union, Mr. Deba Prasad Das, MLA Madkami engaged in discussions addressing various district issues and concerns specific to journalists.

During the meeting, MLA Madkami pledged to raise the issues faced by journalists in the state assembly. He emphasized the need for journalist pensions, health insurance, and workplace safety. MLA Madkami expressed his commitment to advocating for these matters to ensure the welfare and protection of journalists in the district.

In addition to his focus on journalists, MLA Madkami outlined his broader vision for the district’s development. He highlighted several key areas for improvement, including health services, the education system, irrigation projects, road infrastructure, transit facilities, railway connections, and air traffic. He also stressed the importance of constructing a bypass road in the suburbs of Malkangiri city and implementing measures to support farmers.

Echoing the sentiments of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi, MLA Madkami reaffirmed that the government is dedicated to serving the people, with their welfare being its primary goal. He called for the cooperation of all journalists and the public in Malkangiri to achieve the district’s overall development.

The meeting saw participation from several BJP workers, including Nihar Roy, Sanjay Sarkar, Maniklal Chakroborty, Nabaghan Lokei, Shishir Haldar, Vijay Maharana, and Ratan Banik. Numerous MUJ workers and journalists, such as Satyanarayan Panda, Gopi Krushna Patnaik, Shiv Prasad Kiraniya, Kamaraj Jena, Asim Biswas, A. Eswar Rao, Shankar Pal, Vikram Keshari Padhi, Krishna Ray, Chakradhar Patnaik, Govind Mandal, Dibakar Bhagwan, Kaviraj, and Satya Nayak, were also present and actively participated in the discussions.

The visit marks a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by journalists and signifies MLA Madkami’s commitment to the development and prosperity of Malkangiri district.
