New Sub-Collector Visits SSD Government Girls’ High School in Kalimela

Malkangiri, Aug 22: The newly appointed Sub-Collector of Malkangiri, Ms. Ashni A.L., IAS, visited the SSD Government Girls’ High School at Kalimela on Friday, marking her first inspection of an educational institution in the region.
During the visit, Ms. Ashni held discussions with the Headmistress, Mrs. Banani Mahapatra, on academic matters and expressed delight over the school’s achievement of securing 100% results in the 2024-25 academic session.She praised the efforts of the teachers and students for their dedication and hard work.
The Sub-Collector also inspected the school hostel and dining hall, reviewing the facilities available to the boarders. She interacted with the staff and underlined the importance of creating a conducive academic environment for tribal students.
Accompanying her was Mr. Ashwini Mahapatra, Block Development Officer of Podia, who joined the inspection of the premises.
This visit reflects the administration’s emphasis on strengthening educational infrastructure and improving opportunities for students in tribal-dominated areas like Kalimela.
