Balasore/New Delhi: World records holder Dr. Pankaja Kumar Jena was felicitated with the prestigious Kalinga Ratna Award in Delhi. He was invited by the Kalinga Bharati Foundation in recognition of his work on moral education and value-based learning, which also earned recognition from the London Book of Records.

Dr. Jena has gained attention for developing a unique six-month course aimed at addressing growing social concerns such as neglect of parents, increasing dependence on old-age homes, and the declining sense of responsibility among children toward their families. Through this course, he seeks to provide practical solutions and encourage stronger family values.

According to Dr. Jena, the primary purpose of education should not be limited to earning money. He believes education should also focus on developing good human beings who respect their parents, contribute positively to society, and serve their country. He expressed concern that many people pursue wealth and opportunities abroad while neglecting their responsibilities toward their parents and homeland. His course is designed to promote ethical values, compassion, and social responsibility, and he has invited interested individuals to attend the program free of cost.

The Kalinga Ratna Award was presented at the Gurgaon Community Centre in the presence of several distinguished guests, including MLA Mukesh Sharma, TASA Micro Director Ashok Kumar Sen, Mayor Rajrani Malhotra, Ichiban Corporate Science Limited Director Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, CAN Foundation Founder Dr. D.P. Goyal, Kalinga Bharati Foundation National Secretary Engineer Akshay Kumar Samal, musician Santosh Kumar Rout, Sangram Kumar Panigrahi, Madhumita Mahapatra, Vijaya Mishra, Anil Jena, Pralay Bahali, and Prajapati Brahmakumari sisters.

By receiving this recognition, Dr. Jena has brought pride and honor to the Balasore district. During his address, he urged everyone to focus on becoming good human beings first. He encouraged parents and educators to ensure that children grow up with strong moral values, care for their parents, and contribute to the welfare of their country alongside their academic achievements.
