TPNODL Inaugurates New Metering Store at Jaleswar

Baleshwar, Sept.23: TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPNODL) today inaugurated its fifth dedicated metering store at Jaleswar in Baleshwar district, reaffirming its commitment to delivering seamless and consumer-centric services across Northern Odisha.
The store was ceremoniously inaugurated by Mr. Dushyant Kumar Tyagi, Chief Executive Officer, TPNODL, in the presence of Mr. Ranabir Chakraborty, Chief – Business HR – T&D Cluster, Tata Power; Mr. Subhadip Raychaudhuri, Chief- Commercial Services & BE; Mr. Ramendra Banik, Head HR, IR & Admin; Mr. Sidhartha Roy, SE Balasore; and other TPNODL officials and key stakeholders.
The metering store initiative is part of TPNODL’s strategic roadmap to establish metering stores across every division within its licensed area, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for consumers. The first store was inaugurated at Baleshwar, followed by stores at Joda and Anandpur in Kendujhar district and at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district. With the commissioning of the Jaleswar store, additional stores are also scheduled to be established in the near future.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tyagi said, “At TPNODL, we are committed to consumer-centric services and a reliable power network, with safety at the core of our practices. Our metering stores ensure transparent, accessible and efficient metering solutions, enabling on-the-spot verification, faster resolution and enhanced consumer trust.”
Envisioned as local service hubs, these metering stores directly address consumer requirements related to metering services and ensure prompt resolution of meter-related queries. Each store is equipped with a mini testing bench to verify meter accuracy on the spot, thereby ensuring transparency, reducing billing disputes and strengthening consumer confidence.
The facility will provide end-to-end support to Jaleswar Division by managing meter and related material movement through robust tracking, monitoring and systematic capitalization. Functioning as a centralized hub for meter storage and management, it will significantly enhance operational efficiency, enabling faster, more reliable and consumer-centric service delivery.
