Jajpur/Odisha,Oct 7 : Dharmasala MLA Himanshu Sekhar Sahu on Wednesday joined a fundraising campaign launched to support the treatment of 16-month-old Trishika, who is suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2, a serious medical condition requiring prolonged and costly treatment.

The fundraising drive was organised at Jarka in Dharmasala block with the participation of members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha and party workers. Mr. Sahu visited the spot and extended his support to the initiative aimed at mobilising financial assistance for the child’s treatment.

Mr. Sahu appealed to people from all sections of society to contribute according to their means towards the treatment of the child. He said even small contributions from individuals could provide significant support to Trishika’s family during the difficult period.

“Saving Trishika’s life requires collective support. I appeal to everyone to extend a helping hand according to their capacity,” Mr. Sahu said, urging people to stand by the child’s family in what he described as a humanitarian effort.
