Paradip, Dec 3: Paradip Port Authority organised an event at the local Jagruty School on the occasion of International Day of Persons With Disabilities. Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Dr. P N Bahekar, Secretary, PPA, Shri Alekh Sahoo, DC, PPA and Shri Sriman Narayan Mishra, DTM, PPA as well as Secretary Jagruty  saluted the spirit of determination of the school children and mentioned that PPA would take necessary steps within its ambit for the all-round development of the school. He also emphasized on society to come forth for helping these schools, apart from Govt. grants.  Guest of Honour Shri Alekh Sahoo, DC lauded activities of the students.

Thereafter, Secretary, PPA gave away prizes to winners of different competitions held among school children of Jagruty. He distributed gifts to the differently abled employees of Paradip Port Authority as well as Children of Jagruty. Paradip Ladies Club led the donations followed by Port Users, HODs and other eminent persons from the locality towards development of Jagruty. School faculties were also felicitated on the occasion. Madam Lita Mohanty, Principal, Jagruty, presented the Annual report of Jagruty. The differently abled children of Jagruty presented Cultural activities.  Shri N K Patnaik, Sr. Welfare Officer, PPA compered the programme and Shri Rama Chandra Pradhan, Welfare Officer, PPA extended vote of thanks.
