Jajpur medical college be completed by 2023

Jajpur, Dec. 21: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Sunday visited Jajpur and supervised various development works. He directed all construction companies to complete the work immediately and put it in the service of the people.

On his arrival in Jajpur, Chief Secretary Shri Mohapatra offered puja at Siddheshwar shrine in the district. He later reviewed government works undergoing in the district.

The CS also examined the progress of various development projects in Jajpur.

The CS visited District Headquarters Hospital in Jajpur and asked the authorities to complete all construction work by the end of August 2022.

The medical college which is being constructed in the district at an investment of Rs 426 crore, is scheduled to be completed by June 2023. He ordered the construction of an indoor sports complex at a cost of Rs 14.40 crore and the construction of a temple at Maa Birja, which cost Rs 6.5 crore, to be completed by March 2022. Later, Chief Secretary Birja visited the high school transformation project.

He toured the college’s smart classrooms, e-libraries, science laboratories, and talked to teachers. District Magistrate Chakraborty Singh Rathore,  PWD Supertent Engineer Arun Pattnaik,Jajpur BDO Sourav Chakraborty, Divisional Officers and Engineers were present during the visit.
