From Mines to Mats: JSW Odisha mining division celebrates enthusiastic Yoga Day

Barbil: JSW Steel, Odisha Mining Division observed International Yoga Day 2026 across its mining locations with great enthusiasm and collective spirit.
Employees, families, and community members actively participated in yoga sessions, embracing the theme of wellness, balance, and harmony.
This year’s theme for the International Day of Yoga was “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighting its role in promoting physical health, mental well-being, emotional resilience and active ageing, contributing to an improved quality of life.
The celebrations featured guided yoga demonstrations led by trained instructors, covering asanas, pranayama, and meditation practices. The Yoga sessions were conducted at Narayanposhi Mine, Nugaon Mines, Ganua Mine, JSW Koida Colony and JSW Barbil residential complex.

Speaking on the occasion, Head HR of JSW Steel, Odisha Mining Division, Mr. Chittaranjan Bahinipati, emphasised that yoga is not just a practice but a way of life, fostering unity between body, mind, and spirit. His words resonated with participants, reinforcing the timeless relevance of yoga in promoting holistic well‑being.
The event reaffirmed JSW Steel’s commitment to employee wellness and community engagement, aligning with the global vision of Yoga for Harmony and Peace.
