Rayagada: Media Cares demand Covid hospital in district

Rayagada, May 22: As the number of Covid-19 patients rises in Rayagada district, demands are being made for setting up a Covid-19 designated hospital here.
The district unit of Media Cares, has pleaded for setting up a Covid-19 hospital in association with the Utkal Alumina International Limited.
The UAIL has its refinery facility at Doraguda in Rayagada.
Media Cares chairperson Badal Kumar Ta and state coordinator Ranjan Kumar Rath have said the company must be persuaded to set up a three-tier Covid-29 hospital with its CSR fund.
“UAIL has done a lot of social work here. At this time of Covid crisis, it must chip in with a Covid hospital with its CSR funds,” said Mr Ta and Mr Rath.
Notably, Rayagada has reported more than 15,000 Covid positive cases and 88 deaths till date.
